The Agriculture Cooperative of Tomé-Açu (CAMTA) of the State of Para started the Tomé-açu Agroforestry System (SAFTA), which involves intercropping fruit trees and other trees with agriculture, in the 1970s. The cooperative has processed agricultural products produced in SAFTA, overcoming the obstacle of being located far from the market.

CAMTA is currently digitalizing SAFTA, and is trialing agricultural guidance for members based on land information entered into a GIS using the Terras Gector system from Terras App Solutions.

In this Project, existing information such as production history and shipping history will be compiled into a database, and linked to the above system to automate data utilization and analysis, further promoting the digitalization of SAFTA. In addition, through this digitalization, it is expected to introduce SAFTA to small cooperatives in surrounding areas.
