For beef cattle, an authentication system using ID tags (SISBOV) and a meat traceability system (Agri Trace Animal) have already been introduced in Brazil, but it has been pointed out that traceability is not ensured because the system does not cover everything from breeding, fattening to meat processing.

For example, awareness of ESG is gradually increasing around the world, and there is criticism that some Brazilian beef cattle were produced through grazing in illegally deforested areas, leading to a situation where a major European supermarket banned the import.

Therefore, this project will use digital technology to obtain reliable data that can prove ESG compliance and will proceed with technological development to establish a system to certify it.
