First Meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of the CoPADi Project - June 2024

The First Meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee of the CoPADi Technical Cooperation Project was held on June 6, 2024. Representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Japanese Embassy met in a hybrid format.　On this occasion, the CCC members were officially appointed and a general presentation of the project was made, highlighting its importance and relevance in the current context for both countries. The Parties also discussed the establishment of 3 Subcommittees (Crop, Livestock and Agroforestry)　, to bring together professionals in the field and agree on the next steps for each vertical with the necessary expertise.

It was also agreed that there needed to be better alignment of the project's activities between the Brazilian and Japanese parties.
