<Purpose and Summary>
An online matching seminar was held on June 18th with the aim of building networks between Japanese and Brazilian companies, producers, and research institutions, as well as to facilitate future business development. In this seminar, based on the four themes of “AI,” “Blockchain,” “Precision Agriculture,” and “Traceability,” the current situation and issues in Brazil were shared, and 10 companies from both countries (5 from Brazil and 5 from Japan) introduced their innovative technologies and solutions.

Value way | CO2 calculation application in the coffee value chain. Plans to introduce blockchain in 2026. |
<Participants and Q&A session>
More than 150 people from various sectors, including companies, research institutes, government agencies, and cooperatives, attended the event. In the Q&A session, many positive comments were heard, such as “I was able to learn about the excellent technologies of Japan and Brazil,” and “This was the first step in forming a partnership that links Japan, with its advanced technologies, and Brazil, with its vast market,” indicating a high level of interest on both sides in this field.
<Follow-up>
After the seminar, a WhatsApp group was created as a place for an online community to encourage ongoing exchange among participants. The secretariat will continue to support communication among the participants through various information dissemination and mediation of individual meetings, and will continue to provide support so that concrete businesses will be generated from this seminar.
