Workshop about Data Standardization of Agricultural Machinery - August 2024

Updated: May 13

On August 1, 2024, the First Workshop on Standardization of Agricultural Machinery Data was held in a hybrid format.

This Workshop aimed to initiate the discussion about the standardization of data formats from agricultural machinery, which would enable interoperability between different brands.

Standardizing this data would result in greater efficiency, productivity and speed in their analysis, and consequently there would be a reduction in costs.

To this end, during the Workshop, it was proposed to create a Working Group and a roadmap, with an agenda of topics to be discussed.

During the Workshop, we had the distinguished presence of Professor Emeritus of the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Dr. Sakae Shibusawa.

Dr. Shibusawa is a highly important figure in the subject in Japan, and he shared his experience of the process in the country. You can access his presentation in the "Library" section.

Representatives from JICA, MAPA, Embrapa and private companies in the agricultural machinery sector also participated.
