Workshop discussing DX development strategy - November to December 2023

Updated: May 13

This project is developing a Digital Transformation (DX) Strategy Paper to support the formation of an innovation ecosystem. This strategy document includes an overview of the current status and challenges of precision and digital agriculture in Brazil, a technology map outlining existing technologies in Japan and Brazil, and a development roadmap to achieve the envisioned future.

From late November to early December 2023, an online workshop was held to discuss DX development strategies in each of the three focus areas: crops, livestock, and agroforestry. The workshops were attended by approximately 60 participants from the crop sector and 40 participants from the livestock and agroforestry sectors, with each session lasting over an hour.

As part of the project, we will continue to oversee the demonstration project by establishing subcommittees that include not only MAPA and Embrapa but also private companies and universities in the three sectors. Additionally, we will foster discussions aimed at strengthening the innovation ecosystem.
